This topic is very important to me and very close to my heart. I feel that our world has become of world of neurotic people. People who fear the unknown or others that are different. Case in point, the building of a mosque close to the 911 Twin Towers site.
We have two opposing views on this topic. One minister wants to burn the Quran while another wants to welcome Muslims in his community.
CNN's Fred Pleitgen reports that if a Florida church burns a Quran, then it could possibly spark unrest in Pakistan.

My cousin fights for this country. I don't want him in harms way because of the foolishness of one man. This act only brings about more hatred from that side of the world and maybe from some of our American Muslims. It may totally irradiate the hard work and progress that our soilders have worked and died for in Iran, Iraq and Kuwait and Afghanistan. It would be like burning the Holy Bible which is sacred to me. We should be working towards world peace! Not world destruction! The following is from: Oldpaths.com

"Indeed, let God be true but every man a liar" (Romans 3:4).
Do not place your trust in weapons.
"Some trust in chariots, and some in horses; But we will remember the name of the Lord our God" (Psalm 20:7).
This world is full of people who place their confidence in guided missiles, fighter planes, bombs, automatic rifles, knives and spears.
Jesus said: "All who take the sword will perish by the sword." (Matthew 26:52). In Revelation we read: "He who kills with the sword must be killed with the sword" (Revelation 13:9). Physical violence is reciprocating and self-perpetuating. You cannot solve your problems with a weapon.
(These are words we should live by) We have gangs in our country that are killing one another and many innocent individuals. There is enough bitterness and hatred. We need change! We need world change!
We should follow the example of Mr. Stone a minister out of Memphis.

The following is a small quote from the website.
Heartsong Church Welcomes Islamic Center
A quote: When Stone read in the newspaper that a new Memphis Islamic Center was coming to town, he scrambled to make a sign and took to the street. "Heartsong Church welcomes Memphis Islamic Center to the neighborhood."
There has been so much controversy over this topic. As far as I am concerned. I don't see color. I respect freedom of speech and freedom of religion. Whom you choose to worship or how is up to the individual. I don't believe that we have the right to judge others based on the color of their skin or race or religion.
The day that the Twin Towers were destroyed was a bitter and horrible day for all humanity. It was a crime against everyone who died and the families that were left behind. Many have forgotten that on that day, there were many people of many different races and nationalities in those buildings. There were people of many faiths including Muslims that died that day. Children of many faiths died that day.
However, there were also heroes of many faiths including Muslims saving lives. There are radical groups in all religions! Why condemn the good people and place them next to the terrorist. This is not just. It is not American! We are wrong in judging and condemning all Muslims for the beliefs of a few radical groups. MOST of which do not even live in this country. That is why we have HOMELAND SECURITY! The American Muslims have stated many times, that they condemn any kind of hatred and terrorism.
Yet many of those people claiming to be Christians are doing the labeling and condemning. We even have soldiers of many faiths including Muslims, Christians, and Satan Worshipers in our military. Read the Declaration of Independence again and again until you understand what our country was founded on. Liberty and Justice for ALL. IN GOD WE TRUST

Stone's counterpart, Dr. Bashar Shala, was overwhelmed by the reception. The sign was only the start of a heartwarming relationship that formed between the two communities. Heartsong eventually decided to let the Islamic Center use their hall while building a new facility.
Besides bringing their own constituencies together for some interfaith activities, Shala and Stone have gone public together with their example. They appeared on MSNBC's "Countdown" on Wednesday night.
This act of peace is more American and more Christian then any other I have seen or read.
Romans 13: 8-10 from the King James Version:
Owe no one anything except to love one another, for he who loves another has fulfilled the law. 9 For the commandments, “You shall not commit adultery,” “You shall not murder,” “You shall not steal,” “You shall not bear false witness,” “You shall not covet,” and if there is any other commandment, are all summed up in this saying, namely, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” 10 Love does no harm to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.
